Workplace Singing

Poor staff morale? Low retention and recruitment? High absenteeism and increasing presenteeism? These problems are well recognised in the workplace these days. Wellbeing initiatives are becoming more popular and well received by employees.

Singing together is a great way to form new connections and cement friendships. The team building aspect of forming a choir (temporary or permanent) is huge. Many people report that singing improves their mood and provides a sense of achievement and satisfaction. It’s reported to increase working efficiency, reduce stress and anxiety and has the capacity to create greater listening skills amongst colleagues.

I offer bespoke sessions to companies both large and small. From one off, two hour workshops, to full days, working with different groups of singers. Or, I can offer regular sessions – 45 minute lunchtime choirs for a sustained sense of well being.

Our people loved singing Christmas songs with Kari! It was like magic as everyone transformed into smiles, and people who’d never met before were laughing together. The public loved it too, and we raised plenty of money for charity. Afterwards, lots of people told us how uplifting it was to their mental health, and how proud they were to brave singing, in public! Kari’s energy is infectious, she even got us guys singing and dancing in the back row, and everyone went back to the office buzzing.”

My teaching style is aimed to get the best out of everyone. It’s fun, easy to follow and all taught by ear. Nobody needs previous experience or the ability to read music. The ability to not take yourself too seriously is a plus! I provide all my own equipment and lyrics. All I need is a room to house as many people as are interested and for the company to allow staff the flexibility to attend.

If you think you or your organisation would be interested, please drop me an email or a message or simply put me in touch with the relevant person. Prices are available on request.
